Two suspects who were allegedly involved in Saturday’s gun battle in Mulleriyawa which resulted in the death of Presidential Advisor Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra and seriously injured Parliamentarian Duminda Silva, were arrested in India and are being brought back to Sri Lanka by Indian authorities. The Indian Government had responded positively to Sri Lanka’s request to arrest the two suspects, and handed them over to Sri Lankan authorities after they fled to India after the incident.
