Y delaying so long to take oaths? Plan to extend his ruling period or cos SF filing a case against the election cheating? Dont know what is stopping MR from taking oaths

    Thursday, 04 March 2010 10:45 AM

Mann, He is not a "Fallen Angel" - he is also just a human being (some doubt) like you and me. So, nothing special on him.

    Thursday, 04 March 2010 10:46 AM

Calling by name is reasonable as he is not suitable to be called as President.

    Thursday, 04 March 2010 10:48 AM

Who cares for this nutty !!!!!

    Thursday, 04 March 2010 10:52 AM

    Thursday, 04 March 2010 11:21 AM

U better ask it from CJ. He is the responsible person.

    Thursday, 04 March 2010 10:37 AM

Doesnt MR believe in the impermanence of things?

    Thursday, 04 March 2010 11:48 AM

It's advisable for him to give oaths now itself.
Who knows what are SF's, RW's and JVP's next plans.
May be after election with 2/3 majority to opposition, anything is possible.
    No Jokes

    Thursday, 04 March 2010 12:14 PM

Sri Lanka does not have an elected president so there is no need to take oaths. . Gods supreme verdict is awaited.... The Law of God and nature will prevail.

There is no way in the constitutional law to wait more one year to take oath. That is why H.E.MR decided to take second tenure this November.

    Thursday, 04 March 2010 01:12 PM

Whether you like it or not he is the president of this country, give respect for the post. But the president taking Oath in Nov 2010 very strange election in January and Oath in November 2010, this thing only can happen in Sri Lanka!

    Thursday, 04 March 2010 07:01 AM

It is unethical for MR to postpone taking oaths for the second term in November he should have been sworn in the day after the official results were announced.

    Thursday, 04 March 2010 07:12 AM

It should not be this year.It must be in 2011.

    Thursday, 04 March 2010 07:20 AM

    Thursday, 04 March 2010 07:23 AM

Our Ministers are highly qualified to make statements to the media than qualified to do their job.

Prof. G.L. Peiris is doing the job of a postman, whose job is to deliver messages.

    Thursday, 04 March 2010 07:32 AM

Considering the number of petitions against his post and the probable authenticity of charges, I doubt that he can make it.

    Thursday, 04 March 2010 07:33 AM

One should be true to his own consciousness before taking oath. Other wise public will not respect and consider oath taking as a serious legal responsibility.
Leaders of this country should seriously consider about future generations and should not set any short sighted bad examples for future generations to follow.
