Hi dalu banda, It was never our intension to migrate if not for the way you all treated us. There is no better place than the motherland. But then you repeatedly made it impossible to live in the beautiful country beginning 1958. Chandrika aplogized for the deeds in 1983. What happened subsequently. Comments like vulgur and dirty immigrants is uncalled for.

Has he taken a Srilankan aircraft to take his entourage delaying all other Srilankan flights out of Colombo which usually happens whenever he travels out of the country. Waste of public money.

    Manik Monday, 04 June 2012 03:35 PM

Bloody hell! Give this fellow a break. He is working hard to uplift families and he is giving priority to his own family. What is wrong with that.

    Micheal Tuesday, 05 June 2012 05:52 AM

buffaloa citizen Tuesday, 05 June 2012 05:26 AM

In that case, why doesnt the GOSL investigate and provide relevant proof of such an act and inform the British Authorities publicly for prosecution?

    Mayu Tuesday, 05 June 2012 03:38 AM

    SL Monday, 04 June 2012 07:18 AM

    Hussain Monday, 04 June 2012 08:10 AM

All commonwealth head of States were officially invited for some of the Queens diamond jubilee celebrations. Most likely MR would attend the service of 'Thanksgiving" at St Pauls Cathedral & the official dinner or lunch for Commonwealth heads of governments.

    DCOL Monday, 04 June 2012 08:11 AM

    @ AJ:
Mahinda is President of SL. Some people may like him some not. Same goes for the HM the Queen. And that is democracy.
Check your facts, invitation is by Buck Palace because this is not a commonwealth event.
You can Protest because if UK deport you lot, your family got affected...nothing else.
btw : he is Mahinda...not "mahintha"

You lot are real hate spreaders....

    BlindSide Monday, 04 June 2012 07:51 AM

It was all hush hush. Ha!

piyal samarakone Monday, 04 June 2012 07:44 AM

there is not doubt that head of state should accept the invitation the question is bus load people going with him at our expense thats the worst part of the scene -

    hemjey Monday, 04 June 2012 07:39 AM

This is the today's so called democracy, what few LTTE criminals and vote-begging western politicians can do..

    Nodrog Monday, 04 June 2012 07:33 AM

    malkanthi Monday, 04 June 2012 06:56 AM

He is the President so must be by invitation, problem is the unnecessary entourage!

    Jegan Monday, 04 June 2012 06:52 AM

Of course it was an invitation, but many human rights organizations and media have criticized the queen for inviting him, don't know why. next time he should pay a private visit.

    aj Monday, 04 June 2012 06:52 AM

    Beatrice Monday, 04 June 2012 06:47 AM

You bet the Queen will ignore him as protocol will demand that she is not seen with a person accused of war crimes.

Tharaka Chanaka Monday, 04 June 2012 06:44 AM

Have fun, at our own expense!

    Labby Monday, 04 June 2012 12:27 PM

Everyone seems to be having some strange impression that Osama Bin Laden was an innocent man watching television at home; an angel.

Monkey Joe Monday, 04 June 2012 03:35 PM

Who pays for the Sri Lankan deligation's hotel bills, transport etc. etc while they are in UK ....... British Royal Palace or is it the "aid money" ?

Sapumal Bandara Monday, 04 June 2012 03:10 PM

    Nodrog Monday, 04 June 2012 02:57 PM

    VICTOR Monday, 04 June 2012 02:46 PM

    Aberatna Monday, 04 June 2012 02:31 PM

The persons who mislead the world rule the world.

Coconut Donkey Monday, 04 June 2012 02:35 PM

Ironically the flash of ALL people are more or less the same color..

Lanka Muslim, UK Monday, 04 June 2012 12:58 PM

What we should understand is that the authorities in the West do not mix-up matters. The President is invited by the Commonwealth Secretariat, which is hosting the event, as Sri Lanka in a Member of the Commonwealth Organisation. The Queen or the British Govt. does not interfere in the matter. This the manner in which the different institutions function in the West. This is a lesson that Sri Lanka also should learn.

Knock out Monday, 04 June 2012 12:32 PM

Come on guys, let MR and his crew enjoy while we work hard and earn money to survive while paying taxes for allmost every thing...... The cost might be just another few millions.... After all they need a break coz they work even harder than us to destroy the economy in every way....

asoka abeywardena Monday, 04 June 2012 06:41 AM

did they invite MR or he just went there on his own wish...?

Sapumal Bandara Monday, 04 June 2012 12:32 PM

Where is Anton Balasingham's wife? Isn't she in UK? Is she not a common criminal?
Just because she is white fleshed, that just not acquit her for her murderous acts with the LTTE.

    Renu Monday, 04 June 2012 12:25 PM

Apparently Invitation is not by the Royal Family but by Secretary to the Commonwealth, for lunch with the Queen

dalu banda Monday, 04 June 2012 12:20 PM

aj please note that those vulgar immigrants make this beautiful place very dirty. Hence they (UK authorities) should roundup those abominable sub humans and send to a concentration camp without any further delay.

    Kabi Monday, 04 June 2012 12:19 PM

We are proud of our country, our president. He was invited to dine with Her majesty the Queen Elizebeth.

    p.samy Monday, 04 June 2012 12:06 PM

Actually he was invited by the Secretary General of the Commonwealth union

Jagath Leanage Monday, 04 June 2012 10:43 AM

    Dear Jegan,
Private visits? Who is going to bear the cost which runs in to millions? M.R. or us?

Jagath Leanage Monday, 04 June 2012 09:49 AM

    He should'nt have gone.

    somapal Monday, 04 June 2012 09:10 AM

What is wrong here is MR taking the aircraft from Srilankan Airlines. They have already made a loss of Rs 17 billion and the Government is taking a loan of US $500 million and still he travels around the world in luxury. He travels with his Jim band with tax payers money. I have seen the PM of Singapore travling in a normal flight from Singapore to Japan. He could have taken a special flight from Singapore airline.
