MR holds emergency meeting on Weliweriya

President Mahinda Rajapaksa today held an emergency meeting with senior government officials and other stakeholders to discuss an action plan to rectify the continued grievances of the Weliweriya residents.

The meeting was held amid international calls to uphold justice and democracy and a planned mass demonstration by joint opposition parties who have vowed to take part in a protest rally on Wednesday.(OJ)
