President Mahinda Rajapaksa has begun discussing his new cabinet. The President’s office said that discussions on the new Cabinet were held at the President’s house this evening. President’s Secretary Lalith Weerathunga, Finance Secretary Dr. P.B. Jayasundara and President’s Additional Secretary Mr. Gamini Senarath attended the discussions this evening.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa started consultations with trusted top officials on selecting his new cabinet for early and efficient implementation of the “Mahinda Chinthana Idiri Dekma” election manifesto, the President's office said. (Daily Mirror online)
Let's all wait and watch his choices for the cabinet. He and this country are now free of one huge headache - the worst foreign minister we have had in our history, has lost his seat!

Hon. Mahinda, now you have a strong government. Now there is no excuse. Better select a strong Cabinet by identifying the capabilities of each individual and NOT on the rank of the majority votes. Also, it should not exceed 30 ministers. Furthermore, people should be able to live without fear!

Hope this time cabinet will not exceed more than 30 and now MR has all what he needed for develop this country (if he truly wishes). No one will ever think of going against him. MR should always remember that that war had won him. I wish the cabinet will comprise with truly intellectuals, not jokers. Now all elections are over. we were fed up with bailas.
