Police said that the Mirihana police searched the UNP Parliamentarian Palitha Range Bandara’s home at Pagoda Road, Nugegoda following a tip off received on the 119 hot line claiming that a girl's screaming was heard from the house.
Police spokesman Prishantha Jayakody said the police was not aware whether it was MP Bandara's home when the search was carried out and only the MP's daughter and son had been in the house.
MP Bandara said yesterday that on Thursday and Friday the police had searched his home at Pagoda Road, Nugegoda thrice alleging that he was detaining a girl there.(Ajith Siriwardane)
If the police did not directly hear the screams who gives them the right to search a place multiple times? Once ok fine more than that they should require a court order... this is police harassment.

Has anyone noticed that when the place belongs to some innocent person or an opposition MP the police jump and do it, but when it is a big wig or one of his goons they actually pee in their pants when asked to search or make an arrest
