How Sad...

This is a human trait only. It doesn't exist in the animal kingdom. But then again animals don't have economic and similar social problems!

Hi cobra, the animal kingdom is far superior to humans. Animals discard only when they find that their tiny ones cannot survive. Today's humans come after animals in care and affection.

The Bible then is out of order. You'd rather not forget the child that you created, you see and feel. In heartfelt compassion lies the bliss of God in everyone - sans victims of extreme circumstances.

You are wrong. Animals do it all the time, when there is not enough food to go round. There is a parallel here as it seems circumstances had compelled her to abandon child. It is still a sad situation.
