The Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces will continue to experience showers or thundershowers today due to the active Southwest Monsoonal condition, Duty Meteorologist Channa Rodrigo said.

He said it might also spread to the Wayamba and Uva provinces.

The department said thunder showers were expected in the Eastern province in the evening, in addition to strong winds from the southwest direction.

However the Met Department said heavy rains experienced countrywide would gradually subside in the coming days. (LSP-DM Online)
