    Dear,

Rains send by god, and the angel Mikaeel (Michel) is assigned for it. the believers will ask supplication , make this rain as beneficial. As for thunder it is the supplication of an angel with the awe of god. so do the cloud which is laughing of cloud angel.

thunder some time warning of punishment . which will hit whoever deems.

Met Dept's statements are never informative nor revealing, but in the absolute vague (or cotswallop as they say). 'The rain will continue for most parts of the country for at least ...hrs' would have been more meaningful. (What precautions are they referring to, like using an umbrella?)

Politicians should be careful about thunders, mainly who misuse public funds.
