Just talk. Marine drive expansion is a 100 yrs project plan?just widening the marine drive make more traffic in the exit points. Find better experienced city planers who can plan the city to meet the next generation transportation. Throw all political appointees and find better ppl.

A transport system called intercity luxury bus service was once introduced. Charges were doubled with the hope of giving a luxury bus service with ac with no standing passengers and limited stops. But now the service is horrible. No Ac. Many standing passengers. curtains unwashed for decades. Dirty and torn seat covers with broken seats. Stopping everywhere. So, will a decent man use this public transport? Give a thought for this Madam. Improvement of this service with the value for money paid too will help to ease the traffic confession to a great extent indirectly.

We appreciate your plans to improve the road expansion programmed to ease the traffic congestion. However. regarding electric cars it is unfortunate the action taken by the Finance minister to impose a tax on the electric cars, which discourage the use.

its well known concept in developed countries. Most of them do not go by car to cities and they park their cars at respective train stations . its important to have good parking facilities and shuttle bus services to key points . This will help people to reach stations without cars . these things can be done easily and its a matter of time and attitude. Car is still prestige symbol in Sri Lanka so people love to drive even within traffic congestion and carry the key in their hand to show they have car.

Yes, we MUST have a CTB luxury bus service for popular routes like High Level, Galle Road. CTB Volvos running now, are a big service.
