It is rather surprising to note that the post mortun findings are that Sqadren Leader Perera's death was due to a heart attack while the Air Force Commander says that he was in good health due to regular check ups. This is very misleading.

WONDER OF ASIA............. A PERSON WHO HAD DIED OF NATURAL CAUSES IS PROMOTED POSTHUMOUSLY. If his services have been so invaluable then should have been promoted soon after the war. Senseless Defense Dept. mocks the public and it is damn insult to the dead person. DOES THE PRESIDENT VOTED IN BY PUBLIC TO THE OFFICE THINK THAT HE OWNS THIS COUNTRY ?????

    Ronny Thursday, 03 March 2011 10:26 AM

Similarly, General Fonseka should be promoted "postmartially" for all the services rendered in eradicating LTTE terrorism from Sri Lanka.
