Meryvn’s secretaries granted bail

Minister Mervyn Silva’s two coordinating secretaries, who were the two main suspects in the killing of Kelaniya Pradeshiya Sabha member Hasitha Madawala, were granted bail by the Kadawatha Magistrate’s Court today.

The two suspects, Sarath Kumara Weerasinghe and Saman Nishaman were released on a cash bail of 30,000 each and a personal bail of 200,000 each and asked to report to the CID every fortnight.

Three other suspects were further remanded till April 8, which has been fixed for the next hearing.( Dhasun Rajapakshe)

    Perfectly correct. Any other murder suspect takes at least a year to get bail.
