Mervin vows to keep a hold on his tongue

Minister Mervin Silva said today that in future he would not accuse anyone of anything without knowing the proper facts.Speaking during the condolence vote on Dr. JayalathJayawardene, the minister said the late MP was accused of taking money from various peopleand he was called many names.
However he said his family was finding it difficult to pay the hospital bills in Singapore and the undertaker’s bill.
“We accuse people of things without knowing the facts but it is too late nowto do anything except to regret what was said,” he said
The minister described Dr. Jayawardane as a soldier who made many sacrifices for others. (YP)

If all the politicians sold their luxury or paid their due tax, paid their electricity bills, maybe we can perhaps spend that money on improving our hospitals and the health system so that the rest of us can have a decent health service and no one would need to go to Singapore inc politicians.
