Former Deputy Minister Mervyn Silva snubbed a group of Daily Mirror online journalists today when they visited Kelaniya to cover an event which they were invited for by Mr. Silva’s media unit.

At the event the former Deputy Minister distributed dry rations to residents in Kelaniya and following that he met associates from different seats in the Gampaha district.

During this meeting Daily Mirror online journalists approached the former Deputy Minister to pose some questions and he asked them which institution they represented.

When the journalist said they were from Daily Mirror online, Mr. Silva said he will not speak to anyone from Daily Mirror. When the journalist made another attempt to speak to the minister, he said that this was his personal view and asked the group to leave the premises. (Daily Mirror online)

WHAT THE MEDIA SHOULD DO IS BLACK HIM OUT OF COVERAGE ALTOGETHER, AS HE WISHES TO HANKER AFTER PUBLICITY WHETHER ADVERSE OR NOT.
