A 22-year-old mentally disabled youth has been hacked to death at Diwulpitiya in Borelesgamuwa over a personal dispute, the police media spokesman Prashantha Jayakody said.

He said investigations had revealed that as a result of a dispute among some three-wheel drivers the assailants had come to the house in the early hours of the morning where the 22-year-old and his brother, who is also a three-wheel driver, were asleep.

SSP Jayakody alleged that when being questioned the four suspects had said they had come in search of the three-wheel driver but in a case of mistaken identity had hacked to death the mentally disabled youth. Police had also recovered the sharp instrument suspected to have been used in the killing. (Sanath Desmond)

Unfortunately we will here more and more of this kind of inhuman behavior - When there is no law and order people behave worse than animals. Sri Lankan society has gone to the lowest levels.
