Meethotamulla tense

A tense situation prevailed in Meethotamulla this afternoon when the residents of the area staged a protest against the dumping of garbage in area.They obstructed the Awissawella- Colombo road despite police warnnings.
This compelled the police to use water canon to disperse the crowd and bring the situation under control.

GR was nothing done to prevent garbage. He just shifted the place to a another.
