Democracy was never at any risk since independence and even in years before you were born and will not be even after you are gone. So there is nothing to safeguard it, what you are trying is to safeguard your position under pretext. If not for democracy your boss along with other bankrupt parties cannot demonstrate against the Govt. at any time, have you ever seen any protest demonstration in North Korea, Cuba etc. you are only trying to hoodwink the people, so do not ask the citizens to eat grass just because it is green and you are eating it. . additionally, when the peaceful march became a riot oriented crowd by removing the barricades, the police had no other choice but to disperse them, like in any other country. It is not a violation of the constitutional rights of the people when the same people become unruly.

Rather giving statements or press briefings about other parties joining UNP, you first have to join with the UNP and stop creating divisions and demolishing the party. U were not there I guess, u wanted to show that UNP is weaker without you...C'mmon guys.......
A W Abdulkany Tuesday, 21 February 2012 03:44 AM
UNP has to take a "UNiPied " stand. Ranil is talking different things at different time; Karu is talking something else and you are talking totally different. All of you are totally confused. you all don't know whether you are sitting or standing; coming or going. You cannot defeat the present Government., as far the development work of this Government exceeds its other negatives, you are talking of.
