Mangala to visit Geneva

Foreign Minister Mangala Samaweera will visit Geneva to attend the March 2 High-Level Segment of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) when he is also expected to meet UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Prince Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein.

More than 65 Foreign Ministers from around the world will participate at this year's High-Level Segment.

    Previous regime removed a 30 yr cancer from Sri Lanka. There are countries that could not bear that achievement and wanted to make us a failed state. Unfortunately, they succeeded on Jan 8. We are on a slippery slope since Jan 8 and wait for another 2-3 years. There will be a UN/Indian supervised referendum to split the country if this regime continues for few more years.. Perhaps we deserve it!
