Man with gold biscuits nabbed

A person who was due to fly to Bangalore-India was nabbed with nine gold biscuits weighing1201grams by the police narcotic bureau officers last evening, police said.

The suspect had been allegedly hiding these gold biscuits in his person when he was searched by the narcotics bureau officers on suspicion.

The suspect is a resident of Nagawillu in Puttalam area.

The suspect and the gold which was detected are to be handed over to the Customs for legal action. The police narcotics bureau is conducting further investigations. (Pix and Text by Deepa Adikari)
