The suspect who used illegal means to smuggle people abroad was arrested by the CID after an investigation was carried out regarding his human smuggling activities.
The CID is carrying out further investigations after his arrest. The suspect was remanded till the 3rd of January after being presented to the Negambo Magistrate. (Daily Mirror online)
