Because the SLFP Central Committee elected him the party Chairman. So no, he has every right to decide whether rogues get nominations or not. How is he conflicted? His own party appointed him their leader.

Most of yall talk hopelessly. True while he was in power corruption may have taken place, but more than the bad he did good. Chandrika and Ranil would have sold out our country if we were so lucky to get MR! He stopped a 30 year war people... how can yall walk freely on the road huh?if it wasnt for him... most of yall are mutts... never appreciating anything... thats disgusting, the behaviour and ungratefulness our people have.. humph!

Those who voted for MS will not vote for the SLFP just because he decided to head the party. MS should live up to the expectations of those who voted him in and not get involved with the thieves and take a strong stance in advising them to GET OUT AND STAY OUT.

I think it is unethical for MS to now meddle in SLFP politics. He does not have mandate do do this as he came to power not using SLFP platform, but going against it, Having said that he will not contest again why does MS try to control SLFP election strategy ? I think MS is highly conflicted to head SLFP now.

MR and his associates should respect the verdict of the people. When people have rejected MR as President that is the end. Let MR have a good retired life.

Mahinda is over in Sri Lanka. He did a good job, while in power (Except at a very high cost to all Sri Lankans). Why cant this get to their heads. Cant they find another leader.

Mahinda deserves to be treated the say way as he treated Field Marshall SF.

Ranil is intelligent and less corrupt and most of all he is not a stupid Baiya. We should vote Ranil to keep MR away

Does Mahinda Rajapaksa think President Sirisena is stupid to give him the Prime Minister post so that he could ruin the country once again and stop the progress started by MS
Hiran Gunawardena Wednesday, 06 May 2015 08:47 PM
Now all UNPers gone mad at this. They are starting media war against MS/MR affair. How is their permanent opposition leader???????????
