Does she think she would get away from the police complaint? Guess not, now the OIC's crew would FIX her even worse. Glad she was able to ex[pose this SOB... He deserves to be dealt with in the best way possible, so that this would be a lesson for the SO CALLED people with INFLUENCE or the ones with UNIFORM... Hope the learned Magistrate hears the case in good faith... YET send that OIC to Rigorous Prison time...

The IGP should be fired as we hear very frequently of corrupt police officers.It is head of the dept. who must be responsible as we pay heavy tax to pay their salaries.What does he do just transfer the cop and thats the end of the story.

Corruption and nepotism is everywhere from the President downwords. The Police has been highly politicised. Nobody wants to arrest a suspect or act on a complaint when politicians or their hangers on are involved in crime. The people get a government they deserve is true.

If a woman goes to police to complain regarding domestic violence by her husband, the policemen even the constables trying to flirt with her and sleep with her. There are so many domestic violence incidents in Sri Lanka but women not willing to go to police because of cheap unprofessional cops who are disgracing their uniform. Bad and cheap GoSL entertaining people with their filthy actress candidates.

To get promoted in the Police or any of the Defense Services, bribes have to be paid in kind, money and some times with bodies...you've got to do, what you;ve got to do.....
Some cops wives have been willing participants in promoting their spouses careers by sleeping with the bosses.

These are only a fraction of wrong doings by Police. How many more goes unexposed. Al least we should be thankful to the few policemen who perform their duty just as in this case. As said by one reader the politically influential policemen enjoy all the privileges like DIG Prathapasinghe.
