LPBOA to revise bus fares from Sept.

The Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association (LPBOA) today announced that they have decided to revise the bus fares by 10% with effect from September 1.

LPBOA Chairman Gemunu Wijerathne speaking to Daily Mirror a short while ago said that they will implement the decided price hike as per the legal provisions entitled to them and added they do not require the intervention of the National Transport Board to approve the price revision. (LP)

    This is a drastic act. Before they increase the bus fare, they should talk with the Govt. and ask for some relief on fuel. The country has gone to dogs already.
