What short-sightedness! Please understand that when we say Goodbye to small parties such as JVP, they will say goodbye to the democratic process. Remember how JR proscribed the JVP in 1983 and drove them underground. When small parties can get 1 or 2 seats even, they tend to stay in the democratic process. If they feel that the electoral system does not give them representation, they tend to move away from democracy.

No worries. JVP/DNA can join UNP.

Strangling of democracy in the name of the wish of the majority! This so called majority of MPs, mostly bought over with filthy lucre, does not reflect the majority will of the citizens. Wonder how one can call this Democracy?
