Legal action on bakeries

Is this just an eye wash to divert public attention of increased bakery product prices.CAA was faster sleeping all these days.

Officers of the CAA were actually sitting on laurels all these years and suddenly became active enmasse for reasons well known to them only.I myself brought a clear case of supplying inferior quality household fittings by a contractor and your office just washed the hands off though there was ample proof. How can you go behind all the bakeries, vegetable vendors and retailers and whom are you and your authority trying to hoodwink.

1Lb. = 454gms - weight of a loaf is 450gms?? Assuming new Price of a kg of Flour is Rs. 76.50, the 450gm cost Rs.34.425 and 900gm cost Rs.68.85 leaving Rs.7.65 profit or a margin of 10% to bakers. However with additives such as yeast / margarine and WATER the requirement of flour for a loaf is approx. 300gms which means the bakers yet make 10% baking 3 loaves from a kg at manufacturing stage. This price increase of Rs.4.00 alone has given the bakers a 20% margin on a 50Kg bag of Flour and on the selling price of approx. 167 loaves of bread at Rs.54.00 they yet make 20% ???????
The weight of a loaf of bread should be 500g and not 450gms. Why the CAA has allowed bakeries to follow a different rule when the entire Country is working on Metric Volumes / weights for the last 30 years ?

Promises over promises at the elections and now all prices are going up. Now big sharks are sitting on big income and catch those small people for petty fault and drag them to court to get more money.
Heart pains when see these people and their actions.

This is very unfair picking on the small man. Better to start taking action against corrupt Ministers or at least Cricket Board officials.

They take legal action over the most bizzare matters, yet let the real crimes go unpunished. A person can die due to state negligence but they will instead go after local bakeries and handholding!

There should be a law to standardise the weight of bread in keeping with the price - pro rata basis. Possibly there could be a 1/2 pound of 250 gms size of bread too, as most people now cannot afford to eat the same quantity of bread. So have it in sizes of 1lr & 1/2 lb or 500 gms & 250 gms - there should be no differenciation in the weight of the loaf of bread - and no fluctuation of prices according to varying weights.

Not 1/2 pound, but they should very soon have a price fixed for 1/4 pound as well, at the rate the prices are going up. Some would recall that during the infamous seven year rule of Mrs. B, only a 1/4 pound bread was issued per ration book holder, and that too after waiting in a queue for hours. Those days are not far away again.
