Roshan Friday, 07 December 2012 10:17 AM
Yes, then the emirati will be freed under the context of self -defence.
JJE Friday, 07 December 2012 10:34 AM
death penalty must be started in SL also for rapists and child abusers.
JJE Friday, 07 December 2012 10:40 AM
judicial rules are a bit different for their own nationals. more like tribal law
sobers Friday, 07 December 2012 10:38 AM
Srilanka should follow same. Introduce Gallows!
JJE Friday, 07 December 2012 10:42 AM
the middle least is one of of the worst places for asian people. the knife doesn't cut both ways over there.
JJE Friday, 07 December 2012 10:43 AM
don't be fooled by thinking that the arabs are a bunch of holy people, they commit some of the worst atrocities in the middle east. people from asia should stop going to work as domestic helpers for these inhumane sobs and find work elsewhere.
OMG Friday, 07 December 2012 10:57 AM
If you dont like the laws of the Gulf why not stay in Sri Lanka and make a living.
Nelum Saturday, 08 December 2012 06:20 AM
Dont talk like a stupid. Try to look at practical ways to curb such situations.
chanakafromDubai Saturday, 08 December 2012 06:54 AM
here the rules are same and equel for all , since this involved a sril lankan our media is publishing but do you know how many emiratis faced the firing squad for such crimes ? sharia law treats every one equal . no emiratis were pardoned for murder unless the victims family pardon with blood money
christopher Saturday, 08 December 2012 10:17 AM
JJE, why don't you join Bodu Bala Sena and stop the women going to Middle East, then we wil see how prospoerus you become?
Karu Sunday, 09 December 2012 06:32 AM
He was convinced to convert religion that he thought he may be pardon from killing.......but he didn't know what they just want
Anon Sunday, 09 December 2012 10:10 AM
Karu, did you even know this story before for you to comment that he was convinced? if that was true please do state sources. Kindly refrain from making false statements!
Thomas Friday, 07 December 2012 04:56 AM
Causing disgrace to all Sri Lankans by people of this sort in a foreign country is unforgivable.
Laminate Friday, 07 December 2012 05:04 AM
Heart breaking and sad to hear lost of lives from the both sides!
Lenard Friday, 07 December 2012 05:03 AM
This punishment is right....at least he chooses the right path...before he was executed...al mighty will forgive him...
Damma Deepa Friday, 07 December 2012 05:10 AM
" There is no doubt that he has to face the consequences as well the house maid her self for encouraging this man. He had brought a tremendous disrepute to Damma Deepa and his family can never pardon him. "
lankaman Friday, 07 December 2012 05:31 AM
If he had requested news of his execution be kept from his mother and daughter, I hope "Rohana" is not his real name
Mother of Rohana Friday, 07 December 2012 05:47 AM
Rohana converted to Islam in 2008 WTF??
Glad to hear you were EXECUTED !!!
ANTON Friday, 07 December 2012 05:48 AM
ABUDAABIYE EHEMA KALATH LANKAAWE EHEMA WENNE NAA.
mohamed asfar Friday, 07 December 2012 05:58 AM

Changing religion after committing a crime wont take away the sins committed
kavi Friday, 07 December 2012 06:08 AM
after committing any crime change your religion which carries a sword.
anti racist Friday, 07 December 2012 06:28 AM
Wondering why DM mentioned the conversion to another religion by this person. After all what has the religion of a human has to do with an execution. Though we call ourselves anti racist we seem to use religion\race when referring to someone when it isn't required to do so :)
mohamed asfar Friday, 07 December 2012 06:46 AM
though i am very sad for this man and his family, i am very much heartened to see no one commented anything negative about islam or muslims. thanks to every one who understood that criminals must pay for their crimes.
Paddy Suman Friday, 07 December 2012 08:09 AM
Why not the Abu Dhabi authorities take action against the locals who kill our housemaids and punish them by a firing squad as the same way they did to Rohana.
thinker Friday, 07 December 2012 08:19 AM
true...but one wonders if the same would have applied if the tables had turned and it was Rohana who was murdered by the emirati man.
piyal Friday, 07 December 2012 08:43 AM
The innocent children of those dead are the real sufferers
