Why only Jordan? Should apply in general. This is the only country, I believe, that relies mainly on its poor women folk to bring in in funds.

Not 'may ban' , they should ban right away!

This has to be dealt with priority. Government should black list countries where there is modern day slavery and should restrict sending maids to those countries.
Monday, 22 February 2010 03:43 AM
YES AS A SRI Lankan we should not send our sisters to middle eastern countryes work as maids for brainless arabs...
Monday, 22 February 2010 03:34 AM
if not Sri Lanka, they would take maids from philipine, bangla, pakistan...
Monday, 22 February 2010 03:12 AM
Its a wrong to look at banning since the government is more concerned about money flow at any cost of morality.More joblessness would be created if these rackets are busted
Sunday, 21 February 2010 01:09 PM
It is better to ban sending maids to ANY COUNTRY.
Sunday, 21 February 2010 11:05 PM
Before imposing a ban to Jordan, a ban for house maids should be imposed on Suadi Arabia.
Sunday, 21 February 2010 07:58 PM
Why are you trying to penalise agents, try to stop diplomatic relationship with the govt of Jordan if not our problems are solved.
Sunday, 21 February 2010 07:33 PM
Very good move by Jordon.
Sunday, 21 February 2010 06:37 PM

Sunday, 21 February 2010 05:36 PM
Anyone who expects these undemocratic Arab states to treat our people properly whether muslims or not properly are idiots. If you go there, you go there to be third class people barely above slavery.
Sunday, 21 February 2010 05:22 PM
Should have stoped all together......sending Sri Lankan women as Maids....!
Sunday, 21 February 2010 04:38 PM
