India’s Union Home Minister P, Chidambaram said that India’s Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has received the 'documentation' from Sri Lanka confirming the death of LTTE Chief Vellupillai Prabhakaran.
Speaking to reporters today, Chidambaram said, "The CBI has told me that they received documentation from the Government of Sri Lanka confirming the death of Prabhakaran."
The Home Minister's statement comes after CBI had said that it was still awaiting the death certificate of Prabhakaran in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case.
Sri Lankan forces had recovered the body of Prabhakaran on May 18, 2009.

Mr.Chidamparam is a politician, and so words do not carry any accountability. On contary, CBI is a department in the Government of India and it carries more credibiliyty.
