Lanka asks US to lift travel advisory

The Ministry of External Affairs held a meeting held on Tuesday with a delegation from the United States Embassy at which time it requested them to lift a travel advisory sent to citizens of the United States, advising them not to visit Sri Lanka.

Ministry representatives had made submissions as to why Sri Lanka’s name should be removed such an advisory.

Speaking to Daily Mirror Karunathilake Amunugama said that the delegation from the United States had informed them that they would make representations to the US State Department in this regard. (Hafeel Farisz)

Before requesting America to lift the ban, try to introduce a good Policing, Independent Judiciary and Uncorrupted Prosecutors, avoid Political interference in law and order matters and Stop favoritism to the political supporter by Ministers and Higher Officers in the judicial matters to make confidence in the mind of foreigners.

Who the hell are you to dictate terms to US, you are just a podiyan Amunugama. They will impose more sanction if you try to talk big. They are at liberty to advise all American citizens like the British are entitled do the same. No law and order in the country for sure
