It is really sad when innocent children enter the equation in the people's greed for making a fast buck. In UK every employee working in the food processing industry is expected to possess a Food Hygiene Certificate which ensures careless handling is eliminated.

This is terrible.Hapenning more often. What is necessary is , to educate these food preparing personnel, in basic hygiene, and constant training, also to prepare food under a HACCP system and to be varified by the authorities. Also GMP (good manufacturing practices) should be implemented, and the system to be audited by an independent body.

This would never happen if LTTE was in control, as with LTTE there is no way that guilty will escape or get out being shot

the best thing to do would be to.stop provinding food to children immediantly.and the most immediently setting up food safey stainded by legistation and then creat a practicle study course to be followed by those who wish to take these food providing contracts , they must follow the courses and practicle s before they can apply for contracts, this may take a year or so but it is worthe in every mean

When the dry food items are so costly and when people go for junk food for its attractive rate and when everybody orders food for a cheap rate the tendency is to find alternatives by the caterer with squalid unhygienic workers and utensils and also with cheap cooking methods..Consumer authority and municipal authorities turn a blind eye for wayside kiosks and food parcels sold in public places. Public health officers should see this without getting busy obsessed with meat sellers and unlicensed slaughter houses only.

The phrase is; ' Too many cooks spoil the broth.'

sabotage.............. by anti govt elements ????
Friday, 26 March 2010 05:14 AM
This has been a common occurrence now. Nothing happens to the people who supply contaminated food. We have only elections no policies.... only police stations no punishments...

Why do you call this suspect a "lady". If the allegations are true, she should be given a life sentence for attempted murder of these school children.

The World Food program is very usefull to our school children. But, unfortunately the program is misused by some crooks. The goverment should be very strict on this matter.
The culprits should be funished with maximum sentences as a good lession for others.
