Followed by the visit of Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa to New Delhi, India’s External Affairs Minister Salman Kurshid will visit Sri Lanka soon to discuss the political situation in the country.
Minister Rajapaksa wrapped up his two day visit to India yesterday after having talks with both Mr. Kurshid and National Security Advisor Shiv Sankar Menon.
During the talks, the Daily Mirror learns, India stressed the importance of the participation of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) in the Parliamentary Select Committee mandated to evolve a political solution. Also, India recognized the development work being done in the north of Sri Lanka.(Kelum Bandara)
There have been too many visits by this man. Do Sri Lankan politicians take tuition classes on devolution of political power? Ideally he should be stopped from coming to Sri Lanka until such time that 13th Amendment is properly dealt with by the Govt. of Sri Lanka.
