Two laws for two different people. Murderer of innocent UK man in Hambantota hotel and raped his wife had escaped from the law. All others had got escaped. This one was shot because he killed a police man. If not he also would have escaped. Top class law in Sri Lanka. World should follow.

This is a very dangerous situation, as the real criminal who ordered the execution is still at large, and the Police have closed the case. He will continue to do this,
At least if it went to trial we may identify the real big mafia boss and bring him to trial. But he is protected both by the police and the Govt.
The foolish police killed the gang that carried out the contract killing, not the person who ordered the killing. When you read the comments above you wonder why we have come to this state. you have allowed it!

Criminals deserve such punishment. However, the whole truth behind the crime has also been buried.

Rough but sweet justice. No one in this world should be allowed another person for money. Besides we are born to enjoy life but not to die in the hands of criminals . What would the sympathisers say if two policemen were shot dead in the confrontation ? Think.
Calistus Jayatilleke Tuesday, 03 December 2013 07:00 AM
Instant Justice via encounter killings. Perhaps, on reflection, this does not look so bad if only the Police do the same when it involes other victims rather than one of their own considering our very slow legal system and the abolition of the death sentence.
mohamed asfar Tuesday, 03 December 2013 06:52 AM
how many lives wasted in this case ? shame.
sarath wijekone Tuesday, 03 December 2013 06:31 AM
I believe police confirm definitley these people are the real murders. If these criminals can hacked to death wife of a police officer and atackced an infant what else police can do?.This will give a warning to criminals. If these criminals produce to court and get bail and after that they more crimes.
Teni Tuesday, 03 December 2013 06:31 AM
This is really treat to the officers who appear to keep law and order. If the murders behave like this where we are going and what happen to our children. Thing again if that death is happen to you and your wife.

Census must be taken of the Under World Leaders and their followers. I am sure that the numbers will be more than 50% of the total population !!!!

Mm Tuesday, 03 December 2013 01:44 AM
It is obvious to any right thinking person that these criminals involved in the murder were assassinated or killed by the police and stf. Does this mean we the public also can kill who we want if they have wrong our families ?? Isn't there anything in the law to see how these outlaw laws take place with no questioned asked???
mohamed asfar Tuesday, 03 December 2013 05:37 AM
if they murdered a normal person i think no firefight, confrontation or jumping into the river would have happened.
Dingimahattaya Tuesday, 03 December 2013 05:29 AM
This should be applicable for all criminals.

Criminals are not born & bred. They are made and handled.
When they are a threat to the handlers , they end up this way, giving room for the makers & handlers to try for fresh ones.
Peri Tuesday, 03 December 2013 04:32 AM
Apparently the police take swift action only when one of their own is affected. But what they are doing is wrong, these are obviously executions.
Bebon Tuesday, 03 December 2013 04:10 AM
there is an queue which has nearly 400 to to be executed as capital punishment has already been ordered by court of law..
President just waste his time
sahan Tuesday, 03 December 2013 04:04 AM

The Old Man Tuesday, 03 December 2013 03:37 AM
we all know what might have happened. but, i am happy in some way.
wild animals, such as Snakes, are killed when they meant harm to people. if anyone saw the status of that little boy in the hospital, they will know that these scums are worse than those helpless animals.
sach Tuesday, 03 December 2013 03:20 AM

These underworld scum became untouchable because some of our scum bag politicians got their services and so had to protect them. Each of these politician has blood on their hands and Karma will catch up on them sooner or later.
