Agree with Arjuna. IPL is a business. They think cricketer is a profit center. IPL cricket or T20 cricket in that matter is worst form of cricket. At IPL you can see how players who tagged as gentlemen behave for the money. Players under stress as they've put them to sold, which in turn they have to prove to their masters. European football exchange lot of money than IPL, BUT when a player needs to play for his country, you'll ALWAYS see they leave the club and PLAY FOR THE COUNTRY!
Jaramara Man Thursday, 28 March 2013 11:33 AM
We never did mix sports with politics. Its the idiotic politicians in Tamil Nadu who are doing this.
Yunus Thursday, 28 March 2013 11:12 AM
The only great player of our mother lanka who stayed away from commercials as livelyhood. Arjuna we respect you as cricketer, but our cricketers who have signed with IPL franchise holders will do a somersault and get citizenship of Tamil Nadu for the sake of blood money.
raj Thursday, 28 March 2013 10:55 AM
he is always against IPL because during his time there is no IPL for him to earn a few bucks.
Silly Point Thursday, 28 March 2013 10:25 AM
Arjuna, we want you to take care of the SL Cricket Board.
Donnyboy Thursday, 28 March 2013 10:15 AM
It is unfair to let players to choose...they have no choice but to participate as they are contractually obligated to do so for IPL...If no show, that should be decided by the Sports Ministry and the Government which I believe gave the go signal…
God Father Thursday, 28 March 2013 06:32 AM
What bull shit comment is this? pls dont mix politics with Sports dude.
Askar Thursday, 28 March 2013 06:18 AM

Totally agree with Arjuna! These are world class players whose dignity and respect iis at stake. One must achieve by its own actions. It shows the lower class mentality of south Indian Politicians what a shame!

nihal Thursday, 28 March 2013 02:54 AM
our people go behind money. they do not care about dignity. You know what happened during the contract signing period...
mackie noohuthambi Thursday, 28 March 2013 02:48 AM
100% per cent correct. While we negotiate freely, we will not negotiate freedom. What Jayalalitha thinks correct in her state, it is to keep her dignity. So should the Cricketers should keep their dignity.
ind Thursday, 28 March 2013 02:44 AM
Exactly. But I don't think they will agree for that.
Suq Madique Thursday, 28 March 2013 02:40 AM
Time for the Govt to step in and ban the cricketers from going. Why do we always wait for the other side to do something to react. Be pro-active for once and take the initiative to safeguard our pride.
Calistus Jayatilleke Thursday, 28 March 2013 02:33 AM
Arjuna, as usual, does not mince his words when expressing his honest opinion. But times have changed from the days when Arjuna and his brigade played for the country and brought glory. Nowadays, it is just a question of getting sold to the highest bidder.
D Hair Thursday, 28 March 2013 02:33 AM
Let our talented players make some money while they can. They earn money through sheer talent not like many billionaires here.
MagodisThuma Thursday, 28 March 2013 02:25 AM
