If all other countries consider on your basis, we too will be disregarded. No wonder people of such narrow thinking migrating.
Ashoke Friday, 31 December 2010 05:22 PM
agree with you if we have done a analysis of in which disciplene those students follow. Kudos to SJP authorities.
Sarath Friday, 31 December 2010 04:51 PM

This is something that will bring foreign exchange, make life easier for Maldivian students who come here anyway and provide overseas work experience for at least some of our academics. Its a win-win all the way. Why do you object to Sri Lanka moving forward in every possible way?
We cannot wait to solve all the problems and then decide to look forward. Sri Lankans can chew gum and walk at the same time, LOL.
Leslie Friday, 31 December 2010 05:53 AM
Please sort out the mess in the educational system in Schools and Universities of Sri Lanka before you venture out to mess up in other countries.

Lakmikanth Thursday, 30 December 2010 08:35 PM
Good idea but ; do not allow IUSF to have any connections with them.
abay Thursday, 30 December 2010 02:26 PM
oh god. that island has population enough for a university only.
ranjith Thursday, 30 December 2010 12:49 PM
lot of paretns pumping money to their childrens to follow medcine and engineering courses to foregin universities to those fails to secure seats in local universities, if those students get chance to follow courses at J' pura branch in maldives with reasonable admission fees, that will be good for the country
Vicky Thursday, 30 December 2010 12:37 PM
What narrow thinking??? If your house is sinking u too will shift to another place. What i meant was why we invest money in such weak markets rather than grabbing the chance to compete with the private uni's. Be practice. and i understand that you don't have any general knowledge since no any multinational is planning any expansion projects in Maldives. LOL.......
Flanker Thursday, 30 December 2010 11:30 AM
Its sad to see you people have no idea where this university problem is heading. UDUL is 1 guy IUSF is one fraction which is not present in COLOMBO & MORATUWA and a number of other faculties in Universities. Maybe you people who havent been to universities should not speak of things that you do not know about. Dont judge every university student by Udul or IUSF just like you people so sadly talk about Sri Lankan Politics.
nikita Thursday, 30 December 2010 11:08 AM
good one, also try to send UDUL and the gang, so that we dont have any trouble
tharanga Thursday, 30 December 2010 10:51 AM
WOW! very good move! we must popularized our higher education system all over the world. then only. we can have the best discretion of our sri lankan degrees. especially for management degrees our horizons should be expanded . SB has got the matter.
max Thursday, 30 December 2010 08:37 AM
'Anthare-IUSF' should earn a franchise agreement!
Vicky Thursday, 30 December 2010 10:48 AM
Hey Maldives will be no more there after 25-30 years. So, don't waste money on loss making projects. Instead try do upgrade the current universities to the International standard.
knight Rider Thursday, 30 December 2010 10:28 AM
yes. taking our education to them will be helping them a lot and also good for Sri Lanka too, the same would be good if international Uni's come to SL, the students secure and safe in their homelands also the expenses would be less for the parents
Pallegama Thursday, 30 December 2010 10:10 AM
@adhil , you would.
Krishan Thursday, 30 December 2010 10:13 AM

Agreed Totally.
Again priorities mixed up.
Not that you shouldnt open Uni's overseas. But we dont have enough or at least upgrade the existing camps (ooops... i meant campus, sorry) in Ceylon.
coolboy Thursday, 30 December 2010 09:09 AM

Jayadewa Thursday, 30 December 2010 09:02 AM

Senani Seneviratne Thursday, 30 December 2010 08:58 AM
Are we trying to introduce strikes and instability in he Maldivian higher educational system? Guys sort it out first in Ceylon, our children are short of good quality higher education.
De Thursday, 30 December 2010 08:48 AM
