The Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) today condemned the alleged attempts by some factions to surround and to get hold of ‘Sadaham Sevana’ International Buddhist Centre in Rajagiriya where 25 Buddhist monks including Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thera are residing.
The party alleged that the henchmen of the government including Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte Mayor had attempted to provoke the residents of the area and to intimidate the monks.
“The government should take the full responsibility if anything happen to Rathana Thera,” the party said. (Lahiru Pothmulla)
