Jagath Jayasuriya promoted as General

Army Commander Lt.Gen Jagath Jayasuriya was promoted to the rank of General with effect from June 1st, the Army said.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa, as the Commandant in-Chief, sanctioned the promotion. Lt.Gen Jayasuriya will complete 4 years in his present rank on July 14, 2013.
