Jaffna GA Sukumar transferred

Imelda Sukumar , Government Agent for Jaffna has been transferred with immediate effect to the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo. She is the most senior civil servant and she is now in the Special Grade of the Sri Lanka Civil Service.

When Asian Tribune contacted and asked for her comment regarding her sudden transfer, she said, “ We are Government servants. We are in the transferable service and we have to go to places wherever we are transferred.”

She further added that she has no comments to make regarding her sudden transfer to Colombo.

She is the most senior SLAS Officer in the midst of the Tamil officers and it is learnt that she might be made a Secretary to a line ministry.

In the meantime, the GA for Batticaloa Arumainayagam Suntharam is transferred to Jaffna and the GA for Vavuniya Prince Sarojini Manmatharajah Charles will take up the position as GA, Batticalao.

Asian Tribune learnt that the GA Galle will replace Prince Sarojini Manmatharajah Charles, the present GA for Vavuniya. (Asian Tribune)
