Then was he sitting on his degree when he signed for the derelict Chinese Coal Power Station?
kapa ta pissu Tuesday, 25 September 2012 09:53 AM
Now what happens is that due to heavy load, the voltage drops and all electrical appliances will get effected. This is similar to low quality diesel n petrol. You have to maintain a certain voltage to run these appliances. Unless they produce enough electricity to supply in to whole grid..Don't think so...
bandara Tuesday, 25 September 2012 09:51 AM
if you want to give credit to Champika for this, then the blame for Norocholai should also go to him
bandara Tuesday, 25 September 2012 09:50 AM
why give credit to JHU , it is the govt. in power. Besides give credit to who ever funded it not just to the guy who cuts the ribbon
LOl Tuesday, 25 September 2012 08:57 AM

You're assuming most of these idiots live in this country. Its apparent from most of the comments that a large number of the commentators are living abroad.

At last someone gives credit where credit is due . This is so unlike SL who are always ready to criticise and condemn as will be very evident from some of the comments .

There are few who will somehow find something to crticise. They are so negative and never see anything positive in this world. I feel sorry for their lives.
Imran Hussein Tuesday, 25 September 2012 06:46 AM

Nuzrath Anver Tuesday, 25 September 2012 06:39 AM
Connecting North to national grid is not a big issue. Where is the power generation capacity ? Why is it not going up ? More people are connected means more demand. If something goes wrong in one part means affects all of us. It is not to connect remote villages to national grid since the demand will increase not supply. The cost of connecting remote places would be huge compared to generating power in the villages.Getting every one to national grid will only increase demand not supply.

is it good news or bad news, effectively it will will shutdown generator put them relaying on Chinese power plant
Lobo Tuesday, 25 September 2012 06:02 AM
wasanthi, to be fair I think its the politicians who hinder the country's progress not the comments of the public. Anyway Jaffna people always complain they are not treated equally, and now they will be.
lal Tuesday, 25 September 2012 06:01 AM
Good news indeed! Now we are connected to our brothers and sisters in the North. Lets stay connected and united in everyway. Thank you, President.

Its champika ranawaka's hardwork. He accelerated the project.
