Indian nabbed in Velvettithurai

A 29-year-old Indian national was arrested yesterday by the Velvettithurai police for selling clothes illegally, police said.

Police found 77 sarees and 78 Punjabi costumes in his possession when he was arrested.The suspect who had been overstaying his visa and violating immigration laws is to be produced before the Point Pedro Magistrate today.

    This is not a rare case. Open your eyes in Colombo. Kandy. Negambo and Industrial areas. You could be seen number of Indians work in different sectors. such as Jewellery, Steel, Fabrication, Food industries and services like Hotel, Indian restaurants etc. Most of them live and work without valid visa.
    If authorities really want to catch them; raid these places please.
