Claiming that the Indian Central government is submissive to Sri Lanka like a mouse, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has once again asked the centre to send back the nine Sri Lankan Air force personnel who are being trained in India, the NDTV reported.

She said, "the Indian empire should pounce like a tiger. Sadly India is submissive to Sri Lanka like a mouse".

Last week the Defence Ministry had shifted the Lankan airmen from the Tambaram Air Force Station in Chennai where they underwent a technical training, to the Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bangalore following an outcry by the state Chief Minister and other political parties. But Jaylalithaa who spearheaded the protest had said "the nine Sri Lankan air force personnel should not be given technical training in any part of the country". She had earlier termed it "anti-Tamil".

Today the Jayalalitha also came down heavily on her arch-rival Karunanidhi. She says "if Karunanidhi had genuine concern for the Tamil community he should have emphatically told the central government he supports to send the Lankans back".

Sources in the Indian Defence Ministry say training to Lankan defence personnel is part of a Common Wealth Programme and it would be difficult for India to detach Sri Lanka from it. As Jayalalithaa ups the ante, it's going to be a tough call for the centre on this sensitive issue.

You certainly have grown too big for your shoes, Jaya. Remember that higher you jump, greater the fall, and believe me, a great many will rejoice your fall.

Well if India is a tiger why it is not pouncing at China why thinking of pouncing at small people like us not suitable for mighty tiger isn't it ??

Better to solve problems with own size people before dealing with small...

Jayalalitha should be thankful to Sri Lanka for defeating the LTTE, as her own life was at stake because of this terrorist outfit and she took adequate measures to protect herself from them. She should not expect the Central Government of India to dance to her every parochial tune, as they have larger issues to consider.

Madam, how do you treat your so called low caste people.?.
Your students at the Law Faculty ganged up and attacked these unfortunate so called low caste students, whilst the police were watching.

Jayalalitha sounds like a spoiled brat. As a chief minister she should show statesmanship without being a loose cannon. Since she is the chief minister it appears that she wants india to dance to her tunes. Someone should tell her to shut up. Shame and a pity. JP

Why doesn't Jayalalitha also call for the Indian fishermen to stop poaching in our waters if she is so keen to 'protect' Sri lankan Tamils?

Godagampala Rohana Saturday, 14 July 2012 07:49 AM

They don't take her much seriously. this is what Valampuri John, former MP who helped Jayalalitha in her formative political years had to say about Jayalalitha; "She is a bundle of contradictions. There is a deep-rooted attitudinal problem which can be traced to her past. She perceives all men in her life—her father, MGR, her one-time live-in friend Shoban Babu—as people who failed her. Therefore she seems to have developed a deep distrust of almost everyone."

Jayalalatha, there is remarkable resemblance you and Prabakaran, he is in your flesh!
