Indian External Affairs Minister SM Krishna says his government will look forward to working with whoever wins the Presidential elections in Sri Lanka. He also said that India is happy that it is democracy that ultimately triumphed in Sri Lanka.
"Tomorrow is a very big day for the people of Sri Lanka and they will be given a chance to elect a government of its choice and whomsoever the Sri Lankan people will elect, India certainly will look forward to working with the leaders," ANI quoted Krishna as saying today.

Democracy, "ultimately triumphed"? Are they aware of the deaths, injuries and violations of civil rights, in this country? Sigh ... the irony.

Watching carefully to see if their henchman - who apparently helped the Congress to win their election! - is going to win or going down the drain. Under the present President, Sri Lanka had been reduced to the level of a satellite of India, and obviously India would love to maintain the status quo.

Democracy? You are joking!

As usual India speaks with twisted tongue. They would like MR to win so that they can continue to receive money in their swiss account with the complement of SL govt.

Mr. Krishna, don't you have a special place in your heart for "H.E.," who helped your ruling party win elections, earlier this year?
Monday, 25 January 2010 10:40 PM
Certainly, there is no question about India's expecting a strong democratic Sri Lanka, for more economic and diplomatic partnership, in the region.

Ultimately, democracy will triumph, only if SF wins!
Monday, 25 January 2010 10:27 PM
Remember, India is our immediate neighbour and big brother. They are the regional superpower to protect us from any external or internal threat!
Monday, 25 January 2010 09:26 PM
Clear diplomatic language, to say SF is winning!
Monday, 25 January 2010 08:39 PM
'Madawahini' is continuously telecasting 'MADA' documentaries to show that if SF comes, he will rule like Idi Ameen!
Monday, 25 January 2010 08:33 PM
All the events leading up to today’s Election guarantees that a fair election WILL NOT be held! (24/7 misuse of state media, which went down to the lowest level of mudslinging!)
Monday, 25 January 2010 06:24 PM
So, I guess India will be talking to SF then?
Monday, 25 January 2010 06:06 PM
I THINK IT'S NONE OF INDIA'S BUSINESS!
Monday, 25 January 2010 06:04 PM
India, get ready to continue collaboration with MR!
Monday, 25 January 2010 06:02 PM
"Ultimately triumphed"??? This clearly shows what kind of "democracy" India knows about!
Monday, 25 January 2010 05:34 PM
Mind your own business, Hindustan!
