Several railway trade unions are to launch an island wide strike from mid night today demanding the rectification of salary anomalies.
Drivers, station masters and controllers stated that they would continue the strike indefinitely. Railway Professional trade union alliance convener Janaka Fernando said that they hoped to hold discussions with the government today. (Sanath Desmond)
so more people will travel by bus in terms railway makes more losses and cant pay workers again

ahahhhhaah...............strike for only pay increment....there are several essential commodity prices increased due to fuel & E'city charge hike..............no one there to open the mouth for that...................

we will go by bus or on foot. strike for one month. don't increase salaries by one Rupee even. This is Sabotage. If salary increase ,then for all. including Private sector.
