Increase in vehicles registration

The Department of Motor Traffic said today that there had been a vast increase in vehicle registrations in the first two months of 2011 compared with the corresponding period of last year.

Motor Traffic Dept. officials told the Daily Mirror that in January 39,544 vehicles were registered while 35,666 vehicles were registered in February this year.
In 2010 vehicle registrations in January last year were 19,090 registrations and in February there were 24,662 motor vehicle registrations. The total number of registrations for 2010 was 359,243.

The total vehicle registrations for this year are expected to exceed last year’s total registrations.

Department of Motor Traffic officials said that of the 18 categories of vehicles come under registration at the Department of Motor Traffic, the highest numbers being registered are motorcycles, three-wheelers and motor cars.

 In January and February this year a total of 37,506 motorcycles were registered while 18,861 three-wheelers and 9340 motor cars have been registered. (OJ)

    at the sametime their is a vast increase in roadways and foriegn exchage earnings to buy petrol (than to slave labor of our brave women)
