Oh these are not enough for our legislators to bring in laws. We require at least bus loads of people to die every week and perhaps if they have time (more time to rob the nation) they may bring in some small laws on bus drivers.

When will we have a country without 3Ws?

Bippity Boppity Boo Friday, 25 September 2015 09:11 AM

It is time to ban there wheelers in Sri Lanka. It is not a safe and modern mode of transport. With the electric cars now on centre stage, it is better to introduce small size electric cars as taxis.

what law in our country now..? we see people driving/ walking on the phone.. only they get the vote they talk big about good governance and law...

    TONY Friday, 25 September 2015 11:11 AM

READERS PLS DO NOT PUT THE WHOLE BLAME ON 3 WHEELER. TRUE THEY TAKE A LOAD MORE THAN WHAT IS PERMITTED, BUT THAT IS THE POOR MANS MODE OF TRANSPORT. IF YOU SEE THE BUS DENT IT IS ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE WHICH MEANS THE FAULT IS WITH THE BUS DRIVER FOR NOT GIVING RIGHT OF WAY TO 3W. WE HAVE TO BE VERY STRICT WITH BUS DRIVERS. ROADS ARE NOT SAFE WHERE THERE IS A BUS.

    IVJ Friday, 25 September 2015 11:13 AM

What we need in SL is better drivers. Our laws hqve to get tougher too. We cannot blane it on 3wheeler vehicles.

    OMG Friday, 25 September 2015 11:42 AM

Every Sri Lankan life depends on the mercy of the private bus driver. They virtually rule the roads as they brie the cops on a monthly basis. so that they can do anything they want on the roads.

    Bala Friday, 25 September 2015 12:10 PM

If you read the article properly it is the 3W that came from a side road with six persons. So you still think the bus to blame. Preconceived ieas of yours incorrectly applied.

    ANTON Friday, 25 September 2015 01:29 PM

TO DATE , TOTAL NUMBER OF THREE WHEELERS IN SRILANKA IS 10,000,00.

    Bus Drivers

@ Tony…even when the PSD defender hit the bus, it was a dent on the right side of the bus but the bus was not at fault…the 3 wheel culture is ruining our Country, culture and image…@ Bippity Boppity Boo – yes, the electric vehicle is the way to go, if the govt. subsidies come into place…Even a poor man has to first live to support his family, n not get killed by maniacs and fools whilst trying to do that.
