Illegal immigrants apprehended at Aluthgama

Forty-four Sri Lankans -35 male, 5 females and 4 children- were arrested this morning at Kaluwamodara, Aluthgama while attempting to flee the country.
Police said members of the group were residents of Vavuniya, Kilinochchi, Jaffna and Matale.

The intended destination was still not clear and investigations are continuing.(CP)
