Hostage drama ends

The hostage drama at the Vavuniya prison has ended as the Vavuniya SSP had negotiated a settlement with the eleven inmates who locked up 84 fellow inmates demanding the authorities to transfer their leader ‘Sashi’ from the Anuradhapura prison.

Highly placed prison sources said that the SSP had visited the inmates but they were not aware of the settlement. However no move had been made yet to transfer ‘Sashi’ to Vavuniya. (SD & RM)

What a great idea and emancipated land Lanka the replended isle is? No need to have prison guards, jailors, superintendants. One party locks the Other party in!
Did somebody relate the story of the method to identifying Sri Lankans – Keep Sri Lankans in an open prison camp with or without guards and if any one has the guts to attempt escape by scaling the walls, all others will jointly pull him down.
