You cannot retain doctors with less facilities and tit is regert that so far authorities have failed to address the matter. After spending 05 years in the University suffering from lot of hardships, who likes to suffer further despite having alternative opportunities. Even a politician who spent millions and worked hard never likes to suffer and they are compelled to auction the MP post at a highest rate.Such a soceity, we have to provide more facilities to attarct and retain doctors otherwise we cannot give a real value to their profession.

It is easier to be critical than to be correct. Our medical system covers 100% of people and a lot of citizens of the US will be thrilled to use our basic facilities. Get a life.

Open up Private Medical Colleges where students spend their own money to Graduate as Medical Doctors. All doctors coming out of State Universities under free education must spend 10 years under compulsarily in Govt Hospitals in any part of the country.
FREE EDUCATION HAS SPOILT OUR STUDENTS.

There are doctors practicing in private hospitals only, why not make it mandatory to serve in the government hospitals as well? After all they have benefited from free education!

The doctors who enter university through the district quota should be asked to go back to their respective districts and serve their people. Students with very low marks can get into medical school because they sit for A/L's from so called "dushkara" districts (even though they go for tuition in cities). So when giving appointments to Doctors the government should allocate 30% of vacancies based on merit (i.e. marks at the final MBBS exam). The other 70% should be distributed according to the district quota.
