Heavy traffic in Maradana

Heavy traffic jam has been reported on the roads leading to Maradana due to UNP organized protest in front of Maradana railway station.

Protestors group led by UNP leader Ranil Wickramasinghe are said to be sitting along the Maradana road, in protest of the killing of the Free Trade Zone worker, and several other grievances faced by the public.

    This area is anyway subject to traffic jams. That's why UNP selected this area as they cannot get people in numbers for a protest these days.

    Gimmick of a politician who has lost all credibility, in order to gain public attention. Perhaps he wants to create a situation where Police will be compelled to use some kind of force to disperse an unruly crowd, so that he can complain to his foreign masters that the MR regime is violating human rights.
