Harsha to take over Air Force

Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Harsha Abeywickrema is to be appointed as the Air Force Commander with effect from February 28, as the current Air Force Commander Air Chief Marshal Roshan Goonetilake is scheduled to retire from the post and will function only as the Chief of Defence Staff , sources confirmed.

Air Chief Marshal Goonetilake took over office as the 12th Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force on June 11, 2006.
