Popular singer and song writer Gratien Ananda passed away early this morning in the Intensive Care Unit of the National Hospital.
The 52 year old music veteran was receiving treatment for a number of illnesses from the 22nd of this month.

It will be a grate lost to Sri Lankan music and film industry. He was the one who kept the film music going after the grate H.R. Jothipala passed a way. The song “AMMA PEW KIRI SUWANDIN ME LOWA METHARAM HADA UNE” tells all about him what won him awards. The voice matched many actors. “AADARA SEENUWA” the song of love for decades.
